Account Basics

5 questions covering what NameBright is, how to create an account, minimum domain requirements, credit card requirements, and country availability.

NameBright is a domain registrar accredited by ICANN. We sell domain registrations, handle transfers between registrars, and provide DNS management for the domains in your account.

Our pricing model is at-cost : you pay what we pay the registry, with no added margin. The price you see is the price we are charged.

No. You can register a single domain. NameBright is built for portfolio investors managing thousands of domains, but there is no minimum.

No credit card is required to create an account. You add a payment method only when you're ready to fund your account balance and make a purchase.

At-cost pricing means NameBright charges you the same wholesale price it pays to the registry for each TLD, with no markup. For .com, that is $10.44/year.

Most registrars add a margin on top of the registry cost. NameBright does not.

Our revenue comes from premium domain resales and services, not from markup on standard registrations.

Yes. NameBright is open to registrants worldwide. Domain registrations are processed regardless of your location.

Some country-code TLDs (ccTLDs) have local presence or residency requirements enforced by the registry. NameBright will check these restrictions and let you know if a specific domain is unavailable to you.
